BMZ to export first batch of seamless pipes

Byelorussian Iron and Steel Works (BMZ) has announced that it has prepared its first batch of seamless hot rolled pipes for export delivery.  The first lot, consisting of 10 metric tons of newly produced seamless pipes will be exported to Poland.

BMZ started up its seamless pipe production in July of the current year. The new seamless pipe production line has an annual production capacity of 250,000 metric tons, 85 percent of which are planned for exports.

In September 2007, the line produced 660 metric tons of seamless pipes, while in October its production is scheduled to increase to 2,000 metric tons.
