BMZ signs deals with Turkish companies at business forum in Turkey

Belarus-based Byelorussian Steel Works (BMZ) has announced that, as part of the Belarusian-Turkish business forum, which took place on April 16 in the Turkish capital Ankara, the general director of BMZ signed framework agreements with Turkish companies to supply metal products worth over $14 million.

BMZ said that it plans to ship steel wire and pipe products to Turkish companies in 2019. The company pointed out that Turkey is a traditional market for the sales structure of BMZ which sells steel cord, steel wire, seamless pipes and cast billets to the country. In 2018, BMZ’s exports to Turkey exceeded $38 million.

The Belarusian-Turkish Business Forum was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the assistance of the Council for Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Economy of Turkey (DEIK) in order to expand contacts of Belarusian business with Turkish companies, promote the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and implement joint projects in various fields.
