Bhushan Steel to establish steel plant in West Bengal

Indian steelmaker Bhushan Steel & Strips Ltd. has signed an agreement with the West Bengal government to set up a two million ton steel plant and a power plant in the state.

"We have identified the land and we understand it will be allotted within one year," the company's chief financial officer Nittin Johari said on Tuesday.  

The company is currently expanding its integrated steel plant in Orissa.
