On June 12, Liaoning Province-based Benxi Steel issued its ex-factory prices for July, posting a downward adjustment of RMB 190-320/mt ($25-42/mt) from June levels. The details are as follows:
1. HR coils
Prices have decreased RMB 300/mt ($39/mt) from the previous levels. As a result, the price of Q235 3.0 mm is now at RMB 3,710/mt ($486/mt), while that of Q235 5.5 mm x 1,500 mm is at RMB 3,430/mt ($449/mt).
2. CR coils
Prices are down by RMB 320/mt ($42/mt). Thus, the ex-factory price of Q195 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm box sheet is at RMB 4,240/mt ($555/mt), while that of Q195 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C CR coil is at RMB 4,170/mt ($546/mt).
3. Galvanized coils
Prices have declined RMB 190/mt ($25/mt) from June levels. Following the adjustment, the price of ST01Z 1.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C is at RMB 4,760/mt ($623/mt).
All the above prices exclude 17 percent VAT and are effective as of June 12, 2007.
