Liaoning Province-based Chinese steelmaker Benxi Iron and Steel Co. (Benxi Steel) has announced it has developed production of new wide and thin hot rolled (HR) steel plate products, including Q235B 1.38 mm x 1,250 mm, Q235B 1.68 mm x 1,500 mm and Q235B 1.5 mm x 1,500 mm steel plate, as well as 2.0 mm x 1,500 mm and 1.8 mm x 1,250 mm chequered steel plate.
Benxi Steel stated that it has been expanding its output of high value-added products, with the aim of increasing its market share and boosting its competitiveness.
