Belgo-Mineira to increase capacity of two plants

Brazilian long product producer Belgo-Mineira announced plans to increase the production capacity of its two plants in the state of Minas Gerais. In line with the plan, Real 1 billion ($373.6 million) will be invested in the Juiz de Fora plant to bring its annual capacity up to 2 million tons by 2010. Belgo-Mineira will also double the capacity of its João Monlevade plant to 2.4 million tons.
