Belgo Bekaert launches steel mesh aimed at agricultural market

Belgo Bekaert, a joint venture (JV) between ArcelorMittal and the Bekaert Group in Brazil, has launched a new steel mesh aimed at the domestic agricultural market, it said.

The mesh product, produced with zinc and aluminum alloys, is known as Belgo Javaporco or Belgo “Javapig,” because it prevents pigs and javalis from eating crops.

Belgo Bekaert is also launching other agriculture-related products during a Brazilian agriculture show in Cascavel, Paraná state, including an machine to build fences, known as Belgo Multicercas or Belgo Multi-fences.
