Belarusian crude steel output up slightly in January-April

According to data released by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in the first four months of the current year the value of metallurgical production in Belarus increased by 4.9 percent compared to the same period of last year to BYR 13.490 trillion ($1.55 billion).

In particular, in the given period crude steel production in Belarus increased by 0.3 percent to 945,900 mt, output of rolled steel went down by 3.9 percent to 833,200 mt, while domestic production of steel pipes declined by nine percent to 75,100 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
