Belarusian crude steel output down 5.1 percent in January-July

According to data released by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in the first seven months of the current year the value of metallurgical production in Belarus increased by 0.1 percent compared to the same period of last year to BYR 23.453 trillion ($2.6 billion).

In particular, in the given period crude steel production in Belarus decreased by 5.1 percent to 1.589 million mt, output of rolled steel went down by eight percent to 1.402 million mt, while domestic production of steel pipes declined by 4.7 percent to 128,600 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
