Belarusian crude steel output down 0.8 percent in January

According to data released by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, in January of the current year the value of metallurgical production in Belarus increased by 3.3 percent compared to the same month last year to BYR 3.258 trillion ($0.377 billion).
 
In particular, in the given month crude steel production in Belarus decreased by 0.8 percent to 239,500 mt, the output of rolled steel went down by 14.5 percent to 205,900 mt, while domestic production of steel pipes declined by 1.3 percent to 20,100 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
