Baogang delivers heavy steel rails for Zhangjiakou-Tangshan railway

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel Co. (Baogang Group) has announced that on January 29 its rail and beam plant completed deliveries of an order for a total of 12,700 mt of heavy steel rails of 75 meters in length, welded together to form lengths of 500 meters, to construction sites of the Zhangjiakou-Tangshan railway. 

The Zhangjiakou-Tangshan railway has a planned length of 528 kilometers, and is designed for train speeds of 120-160 km per hour and will mainly be used for freight transportation.
