Baogang achieves net profit of RMB 3.324 billion in 2018

Inner Mongolia-based Chinese steelmaker Baotou Iron and Steel (Baogang) has announced that in 2018 it registered an operating revenue of RMB 67.188 billion ($10.01 billion), up 25.15 percent year on year, while posting a net profit of RMB 3.324 billion ($0.50 billion), rising by 61.25 percent year on year. 

In 2018, Baogang’s outputs of steel pipe, steel plate, steel section, and rebar and wire rod amounted to 1.57 million mt, 8.54 million mt, 1.73 million mt, and 2.48 million mt, respectively.
