Average HRB 400 rebar price in China down 1.2 percent in mid-June

In mid-June (June 11-20) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were respectively recorded at RMB 3,951.5/mt ($576.1/mt), RMB 4,137.2/mt ($603.1/mt), RMB 3,978.2/mt ($580.0/mt), RMB 3,919.5/mt ($571.4/mt), RMB 4,682.8/mt ($682.6/mt) and RMB 4,117.4/mt ($600.2/mt), down RMB 46.7/mt ($6.8/mt), RMB 36.7/mt ($5.3/mt), RMB 59.3/mt ($8.6/mt), RMB 56.4/mt ($8.2/mt), RMB 67.9/mt ($9.9/mt) and RMB 38.3/mt ($5.6/mt), i.e., down 1.2 percent, 0.9 percent, 1.5 percent, 1.4 percent, 1.4 percent and 0.9 percent, compared to prices in early June (June 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
