In early June (June 1-10) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was RMB 2,059.0/mt ($321.7/mt), up by RMB 130.1/mt ($20.3/mt) or 6.7 percent, both compared to prices in late May (May 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
