Average second-grade coke price in China up 5.2 percent in mid-May

In mid-May (May 11-20) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was RMB 1,753.5/mt ($274.9/mt), up by RMB 86.7/mt ($13.6/mt) or 5.2 percent, both compared to prices in early May (May 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
