In early November (November 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,350.0/mt ($194.3/mt) and RMB 2,492.2/mt ($358.6/mt), increasing by RMB 121.4/mt ($2.5/mt) and RMB 116.8/mt ($11.8/mt), or up 9.9 percent and 4.9 percent, respectively, both compared to prices in late October (October 21-31), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
