Average second-grade coke price in China up 4.6 percent in early August

In early August (August 1-10) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,157.5/mt ($168.2/mt), down RMB 22.5/mt ($3.3/mt), while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was RMB 1,994.1/mt ($289.8/mt), up by RMB 87.5/mt ($12.7/mt) or 4.6 percent, both compared to prices in late July (July 21-31), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
