Average second-grade coke price in China up 3.8 percent in mid-July

In mid-July (July 11-20) this year, the average price in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,022.5/mt ($150.4/mt) and RMB 1,637.8/mt ($240.9/mt), increasing by RMB 22.5/mt ($3.3/mt) and RMB 59.4/mt ($8.7/mt), compared to prices in early July (July 1-10), i.e., up 2.3 percent and 3.8 percent respectively , as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on July 24.
