Average second-grade coke price in China up 2.3 percent in early July

In early July (July 1-10) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,000.0/mt ($146.2/mt), remaining stable compared to prices in late June (June 21-30), while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 1,578.4/mt ($232/mt), increasing by RMB 35.5/mt ($5.22/mt) or 2.3 percent compared to prices in late June (June 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on July 14.
