Average second-grade coke price in China up 1.7 percent in early October

In early October (October 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,211.4/mt ($174.8/mt) and RMB 2,293.6/mt ($330.9/mt), increasing by RMB 1.4/mt ($0.2/mt) and RMB 37.8/mt ($5.5/mt), or up 0.1 percent and 1.7 percent, respectively, both compared to prices in late September (September 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
