Average second-grade coke price in China up 1.1 percent in late Feb

In late February (February 21-28) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 1,815.2/mt ($286.6/mt), up RMB 20.4/mt ($3.2/mt), i.e., increasing by 1.1 percent, both compared to prices in mid-February (February 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on March 5.
