Average second-grade coke price in China up 0.6 percent in early Jan

In early January (January 1-10) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($181.5/mt), up RMB 30.0/mt ($4.6/mt), rising by 2.6 percent, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 2,205.2/mt ($339.3/mt), up RMB 12.2/mt ($1.9/mt), rising by 0.6 percent, both compared to prices in late December (December 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on January 15.
