In early December (December 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,350.0/mt ($194.3/mt) and RMB 2,081.4/mt ($300.0/mt), remaining stable and decreasing by RMB 219.5/mt ($31.6/mt) or 9.5 percent, respectively, compared to prices in late November (November 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
