In mid-July (July 11-20) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was RMB 2,019.2/mt ($300.0/mt), down by RMB 162.1/mt ($23.8/mt) or 7.4 percent, both compared to prices in early July (July 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
