In early July (July 1-10) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,380.0/mt ($201.2/mt) and RMB 1,779.5/mt ($259.0/mt), remaining stable and decreasing by RMB 132.9/mt ($19.3/mt) or 6.9 percent, respectively, both compared to prices in late June (June 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
