Average second-grade coke price in China down 6.4 percent in late March

In late March (March 21-31) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 1,771.1/mt ($281.7/mt), down by RMB 121.6/mt ($19.34/mt) or 6.4 percent, both compared to prices in mid-March (March 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on April 4.
