Average second-grade coke price in China down 5.3 percent in mid-Oct

In mid-October (October 11-20) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,280.0/mt ($194.5/mt), remaining stable compared to the price in early October (October 1-10), while the average price in China of second-grade metallurgical coke was at RMB 2,035.6/mt ($307.1/mt), decreasing by RMB 115.0/mt ($17.4/mt) or down 5.3 percent compared to the price in early October, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on October 24.
