Average second-grade coke price in China down 4.3 percent in early April

In early April (April 1-10) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 1,694.8/mt ($290.0/mt), down by RMB 76.3/mt ($12.14/mt) or 4.3 percent, both compared to prices in late March (March 21-31), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on April 16.
