Average second-grade coke price in China down 3.0 percent in mid-Jan

In mid-January (January 11-20) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,350.0/mt ($194.3/mt) and RMB 1,868.9/mt ($274.8/mt), remaining stable and decreasing by RMB 57.4/mt ($8.4/mt) or 3.0 percent, respectively, both compared to prices in early January (January 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
