In early July (July 1-10) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was RMB 2,181.3/mt ($326.5/mt), down by RMB 52.8/mt ($7.9/mt) or 2.4 percent, both compared to prices in late June (June 21-30), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
