In mid-July (July 11-20) this year, the average prices in China of coking coal and second-grade metallurgical coke were recorded at RMB 1,380.0/mt ($201.2/mt) and RMB 1,744.3/mt ($253.9/mt), remaining stable and decreasing by RMB 35.2/mt ($5.1/mt) or 2.0 percent, respectively, both compared to prices in early July (July 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
