In late April (April 21-30) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was RMB 1,611.3/mt ($255.8/mt), down by RMB 15.4/mt ($2.4/mt) or 0.9 percent, both compared to prices in mid-April (April 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
