Average second-grade coke price in China down 0.2 percent in mid-March

In mid-March (March 11-20) this year, the average price in China of coking coal was recorded at RMB 1,180.0/mt ($186.4/mt), remaining stable, while the average price of second-grade metallurgical coke was recorded at RMB 1,892.7/mt ($299.8/mt), down RMB 4.1/mt ($0.65/mt), i.e., decreasing by 0.2 percent, both compared to prices in early March (March 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on March 26.
