Average residential housing price in China increases in 2018

In December last year, the average price of new residential housing in 100 major cities in China increased by 0.25 percent month on month to RMB 14,700 ($2,118.2) per square meter, as announced by the China Index Academy, a Beijing-based real estate research institute. The month-on-month increase in average prices was 0.20 percentage points lower than the increase rate recorded in November of the same year.

Meanwhile, the average price of new residential housing in 100 major cities in China increased by 5.09 percent year on year in 2018, with the growth 2.06 percentage points slower than that recorded in 2017.
