In late May (May 21-30) this year, the average prices of 16-25 mm HRB400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plates, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,219.3/mt ($525.17/mt), RMB 3,389.1/mt ($552.87/mt), RMB 3,473.5/mt ($566.64/mt), RMB 3,476.6/mt ($567.15/mt), RMB 4,234.7/mt ($690.82/mt) and RMB 3,455.3/mt ($563.67/mt), down RMB 23.6/mt ($3.85/mt), RMB 51.9/mt ($8.47/mt), RMB 20.8/mt ($3.39/mt), RMB 13.9/mt ($2.27/mt), RMB 19.7/mt ($3.21/mt) and RMB 26.4/mt ($4.31/mt), indicating respective declines of 0.7 percent, 1.6 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.8 percent compared to prices in mid-May (May 11-20), as announced by
China's National Bureau of Statistics on June 4.
