In late June (June 21-30) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were respectively recorded at RMB 3,988.8/mt ($581.5/mt), RMB 4,172.4/mt ($608.2/mt), RMB 3,981.5/mt ($580.4/mt), RMB 3,950.8/mt ($575.9/mt) and RMB 4,161.9/mt ($606.7/mt), up RMB 37.3/mt ($5.4/mt), RMB 35.2/mt ($5.1/mt), RMB 3.3/mt ($0.5/mt), RMB 31.3/mt ($4.6/mt) and RMB 44.5/mt ($6.5/mt), i.e., rising by 0.9 percent, 0.9 percent, 0.1 percent, 0.8 percent and 1.1 percent, compared to prices in mid-June (June 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
Meanwhile, in late June the average price in China of 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes was recorded at RMB 4,655.4/mt ($678.6/mt), down RMB 27.4/mt ($4.0/mt) or 0.6 percent compared to prices in mid-June (June 11-20).
