Average HRB 400 rebar price in China up 0.7 percent in mid-March

In mid-March (March 11-20) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes, and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were respectively recorded at RMB 3,975.3/mt ($592.3/mt), RMB 4,079.8/mt ($608.1/mt), RMB 4,021.4/mt ($599.3/mt), RMB 3,970.0/mt ($591.7/mt), RMB 4,893.5/mt ($729.3/mt) and RMB 4,217.3/mt ($628.5/mt), up RMB 26.9/mt ($4.0/mt), RMB 24.7/mt ($3.68/mt), RMB 16.8/mt ($2.5/mt), RMB 14.6/mt ($2.2/mt), RMB 5.1/mt ($0.76/mt) and RMB 33.2/mt ($4.95/mt), i.e., increasing by 0.7 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.1 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively, compared to prices in early March (March 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.
