Average HRB 400 rebar price in China decreases in mid-April

In mid-April (Apr.11-20) this year, the average prices in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipes and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,412.3/mt ($495.9/mt), RMB 3,484.7/mt ($506.5/mt), RMB 3,393.3/mt ($493.2/mt), RMB 3,250.0/mt ($472.4/mt), RMB 4,429.3/mt ($643.8/mt) and RMB 3,564.8/mt ($518.1/mt), down RMB 218.0/mt ($31.7/mt), RMB 203.1/mt ($29.5mt), RMB 201.3/mt ($29.3/mt), RMB 290.2/mt ($42.2/mt), RMB 51.4/mt ($7.5/mt) and RMB 198.5/mt ($28.9/mt), declining by 6.0 percent, 5.5 percent, 5.6 percent, 8.2 percent, 1.1 percent and 5.3 percent, respectively, all compared to prices in early April (Apr. 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on April 24.
