In early June (June 1-10) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plates, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,207.1/mt ($523.18/mt), RMB 3,286.8/mt ($536.18/mt), RMB 3,467.5/mt ($565.66/mt), and RMB 3,474.6/mt ($566.82/mt), RMB 4,223.3/mt ($688.96/mt) and RMB 3,429.6/mt ($559.48), down RMB 12.2/mt ($1.99/mt), RMB 2.3/mt ($0.38/mt), RMB 6.0/mt ($0.98/mt), RMB 2.0/mt ($0.33/mt), RMB 11.4/mt ($1.86/mt) and RMB 25.7/mt ($4.20/mt), indicating respective declines of 0.4 percent, 0.1 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.1 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.7 percent compared to prices in late May (May 21-31), as announced by
China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on June 16.
