Automotive sales in Turkey down 74.2 percent in January from December

In January this year, sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Turkey decreased by 0.7 percent year on year and were down by 74.2 percent month on month to 35,076 units, according to the statistics released by the Turkish Automotive Distributors Association (ODD). In the given month, domestic sales of passenger cars in Turkey increased 3.59 percent year on year and were down by 73.3 percent month on month to 26,611 units, while sales of light commercial vehicles decreased by 12.13 percent year on year and were down by 76.8 percent month on month to 8,465 units.
