Automotive output boosts industrial production in Brazil

Brazil's national statistics agency reported Friday that industrial output in the country increased 0.7 percent in March, following a 2.4 percent drop in February. Production was also down 3.3 percent from March 2012.

After falling in February, vehicle production in Brazil improved 5.1 percent in March. Other groups with higher output in March included consumer goods (up 1.4 percent) and capital goods (up 0.7 percent).
