Auto sales in Russia down 6% in January-May

In the first five months this year, sales of passenger cars and commercial vehicles in Russia decreased by six percent year on year to 1.031 million units, according to the statistics released by the Association of European Businesses.

Meanwhile, in May this year domestic sales of passenger cars and commercial vehicles decreased by 12 percent year on year to 201,487 cars.

In 2014, sales of passenger cars and commercial vehicles in Russia are expected to decrease to 2.73 million units, compared to 2.777 million units in 2013.
