Australia’s Antidumping Commission has announced that it has terminated the antidumping (AD) duty investigation against galvanized steel imports from Vietnam-based companies Hoa Sen Group and Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Company as there has been no dumping by these exporters of any of the goods in question during the investigation period.

The commission has also terminated the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation against imports of the abovementioned products from Vietnam as countervailable subsidies have been received in respect of some of the goods, but the subsidies never at any time during the investigation period exceeded the negligible level.

In October 2016, Australia initiated an antidumping duty investigation regarding galvanized steel imports from India, Malaysia and Vietnam and a countervailing duty investigation regarding imports of these products from India and Vietnam.
