ATI Allegheny announces electrical steel surcharge

ATI Allegheny Ludlum will apply a raw material surcharge of $270 per ton on silicon electrical steel effective for shipments as of May 1, 2005, according to a company statement. ATI Allegheny Ludlum adjusts its surcharges monthly, in line with changes in raw material costs. The April raw material surcharge on the same product was $300 per ton.
