Argentinian industrial output rises 4.4 percent in October

Argentinian industrial production in October rose 4.4 percent, year-on-year, according to data from the country’s statistics agency, Indec.

Indec said industrial output at the nation’s automotive in October improved 25.6 percent, year-on-year. At the local metal mechanic sector, industrial production in the same period grew 15.7 percent, year-on-year.

According to a Indec’s qualitative survey, which measured the expectancies of the country’s industrial companies for the November 2017-January 2018 period, 46.9 percent expect a stable pace for domestic demand on a year-on-year basis.

On the other hand, 43.2 percent foresee an increase in demand, while 9.9 percent expect a decline.

Out of the interviewed exporting companies, 53.6 percent expect a stable November 2017-January 2018 for exports, year-on-year.

Additionally, 30.1 percent expect an increase and 16.3 percent anticipate a decrease in the industry’s exports in the same period.
