Argentinian industrial output increases in June

Argentinian industrial output in June rose 6.6 percent, year-on-year, the second consecutive increase so far in the year, said the nation’s statistics agency, Indec.

According to Indec’s data, local industrial production at the automotive segment in June rose 15.9 percent, year-on-year, while industrial production at the local metal mechanic segment improved 15.4 percent in the same period, also on a year-on-year basis.

According to a Indec’s qualitative survey, which measured the expectations of the country’s industrial companies for Q3 on a year-on-year basis, 51.4 percent expect a stable pace for domestic demand.

On the other hand, another 34.3 percent foresee an increase in demand, while 14.3 percent expect a decrease.

Out of the interviewed exporting companies, 55.4 percent expect a stable Q3 for exports, year-on-year. However, 29.7 percent expect an increase and 14.9 percent anticipate a decline in the industry’s exports in the same period.
