Argentina's crude steel production 18 percent up in January

Argentinian crude steel production in the first month of the year rose 18 percent, year-on-year, to 343,800 mt, according to the nation’s steel association, Camara Argentina del Acero (CAA).

Local crude steel output in January dropped nearly 10 percent, month-on-month, when compared to 380,800 mt in December.

Argentina’s hot rolled finished steel output in January increased 23.6 percent, year-on-year, to 379,600 mt, but fell 8.8 percent, month-on-month.

Argentina’s cold rolled flat steel output in January was 129,800 mt, 16.2 percent up, year-on-year, and 0.9 percent up, month-on-month.
