Argentina’s crude steel output rises in November

Argentinian crude steel production in November rose 18.1 percent, year-on-year, to 424,300 mt, the country’s steel chamber (CAA) said on Thursday.

Local crude steel output in November dropped 3 percent, month-on-month, from 437,300 mt in October this year. Hot rolled finished steel output in November was 414,400 mt, 11.1 percent up, year-on-year, and 44.7 percent up, month-on-month. Cold rolled flat steel output in November dropped 4.9 percent, year-on-year, but grew 17.6 percent, month-on-month.

As for the accumulated period of January to November, Argentina's crude steel production increased 10.5 percent, year-on-year, to 4.2 million mt. Hot rolled finished steel output in the same period was 4.1 million mt, 13.7 percent up, year-on-year. On the other hand, Argentina's cold rolled flat steel production in the January-November period fell 3.9 percent, year-on-year, to 1.2 million mt.
