Argentina's auto output up 16 percent in January-May

In May this year, Argentina's auto production (including commercial vehicles) increased by 2.3 percent compared to April and was up 3.5 percent year on year, amounting to 46,835 units, according to the report released by the country's auto association (ADEFA). Meanwhile, in the first five months of this year, Argentina's auto production totaled 203,235 units, up 16 percent compared with the same period of the previous year.

In May, Argentina's auto exports totaled 21,431 units, up 7.7 percent month on month and increasing by 7.4 percent year on year. In the January-May period of this year, the country's auto exports rose by 25.4 percent year on year to 98,676 units.
