Argentina’s auto output falls 16.1 percent in July from June

Argentina’s auto production output in July this year totaled 38,169 units, falling by 16.1 percent month on month and up 1.2 percent year on year, as announced by the country’s automotive industry association Adefa.

According to Adefa, in July Argentinian auto exports decreased by 26.3 percent compared to the previous month and were up by 12.2 percent compared to July last year to 14,522 units. Meanwhile, car sales in the country in July totaled 72,684, decreasing by 9.3 percent month on month and growing by 38 percent year on year.

The nation’s automotive industry produced 257,573 units in the January-July period of this year, 1.6 percent less year on year. In the same period, exports rose to 112,943 units, up 11.2 percent year on year.
